Durban appears to have stepped up to the plate as an organised venue for COP17.  Although, experience has told me not to speak too soon, things seem to be going well.  Today was a quiet day so glitches were ironed out pretty fast.  Importantly, too, is the good mix of African food available throughout the venue.  The outside braai area makes for particularly good viewing during lunch hour as the catering staff try to describe to Americans what pap and wors is.

But back to serious matters (and I’m not saying food isn’t serious)…… Having toured around the exhibition centre I can confidently say that our stand is one of (if not THE) most exciting stands there.  We generated a lot of interest today and I don’t think it was only about the sweets and free merchandise we had on offer.  A lot of the stands are not yet populated though, so our competition could become stiffer during the week.

Now to find out what happened in the negotiations today…..
