Sabina Abba Omar

I started my 3-year undergraduate degree at UCT in 2008. My two majors were mathematics and Ocean and Atmosphere Science. I also did some applied mathematics, computer science and physics. I completed my honors degree in 2011 with my thesis topic “Developing a Scale Law for the Neutral Atmospheric Boundary Layer”. I am currently in my second year of my Masters working on how regional climate models simulate extreme rainfall events over southern Africa. In my spare time I enjoy reading, painting and playing football.
