Hussen Seid
Hussen did his bachelor degree in Meteorology at Arba Minch University (Ethiopia), and a one year postgraduate diploma in Earth System Physics at International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste(Italy). Once he completed his postgraduate diploma programme, he served one year at Arba Minch University. In August 2011, he came to South Africa and joined CSAG to study his M.Sc and PhD. In beginning of 2013, he upgraded his M.Sc to PhD. For his current research, he is using the COordinated Regional climate Downscaling EXperiment(CORDEX) Regional Climate Models (RCMs) output to explore the recent and future climate variability of Eastern Africa and to investigate the probable physical mechanisms associated with natural and anthropogenic climate change.
