Portia Adade Williams is a Research Scientist with the Science and Technology Policy Research Institute (STEPRI) of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Ghana since 2013. Williams is currently a Visiting Research Fellow with African Climate and Development Initiative of University of Cape Town, South Africa under the Climate Impact Research Capacity and Leadership Enhancement (CIRCLE) Programme for Sub Saharan Africa (January 2016 – December 2016). She has also worked as a divisional manager with the Ghana Oil Palm Development Company Limited for about five years. Williams holds a MSc. Industrial Economics & Management from the Blekinge Institute of Technology (Sweden) and BSc. (Hons) Agricultural Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. Her research interests focus on climate impact and adaptation in agricultural systems as well as socio-economic and innovation studies. She has two refereed journal publications, three conference papers, a book and fifteen technical papers to her credit. Williams’ current research looks at “Impact of climate variability on pineapple productivity in Ghana”.
