South Africa, as a party to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), has an obligation to submit National Communications every four years, reporting on the country’s standing on climate change mitigation and adaptation. ACDI and CSAG, as part of a larger consortium lead by the CSIR, contributed to Chapter 3 of the Third National Communication (TNC), “Climate Change over South Africa: From trends and projected changes to vulnerability assessments and the status quo of national adaptation strategies.”
