The purpose of this piece of work was to work with four of the country’s nine provinces, KwaZulu Natal, Gauteng, Eastern Cape and Western Cape, to strengthen provincial capacity and readiness to respond effectively and efficiently to climate change. It focused on updating the provincial climate risk and vulnerability assessments, and from there consolidating and updating provincial Climate Change Response Strategies in collaboration with the provincial governments.
