Project summary

Research papers were started in 2021-2023. Noting that the first African produced paper on on SRM (Pinto et al 2020) and a first paper to examine the potential effect of SRM on future risk of the Cape Town Day zero drought (Odoulami et al, 2020). Further work continues such as the assessment of the effect of SRM on cut-off Lows, the quantification of the impact of marine cloud brightening on African climate, the impacts of SRM on renewable energy, and the effect of SRM on projected heat stress due to global warming. This work contributes to growing SRM research in the Global South.
