Matlhatse Elizabeth Mohale

Matlhatse Mohale is currently a senior research assistant at the Climate Systems Analysis Group (CSAG), which is part of the CASCADE project. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Communication Sciences, an Honors degree in Geography, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Geography. Her Master’s research focuses on "Rangeland Biodiversity Conservation through Indigenous Knowledge Systems" This study explores how Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS) contribute to rangeland biodiversity conservation and how these practices can be integrated into formal conservation policies. Matlhatse has experience working in health NGO, biodiversity institutes, and higher education. She has a strong interest in urban climate health, biodiversity conservation, environmental governance, environmental policies, and geomorphology.
