Project summary

A consortium was launched in the African continent to tackle the pressing urban health challenges exacerbated by climate change and rapid urbanization. Our partners in Kampala,Harare, Accra, Johannesburg, and Cape Town allow us to address regional challenges with local-based and context-driven responses. In partnership with scientists, policymakers, and communities, our overarching objective is to advance our understanding of urban health challenges in African cities and support practical, impactful responses at the city-level. The key research focus areas are 1. Urban Climate Risk Pathways. 2. Urban Climate Health Interventions. 3. Urban Climate Health Governance.
