This project had four objectives:

1. Offering a Winter and Summer School in Climate Change at the University of Cape Town over three years, with repeated course evaluation and follow up with trainees to evaluate information use;

2. Technical support to three Southern Africa Regional Climate Outlook Forum (SARCOF) meetings in the form of methodological support to the pre-COF climate information formulation process and user workshop post SARCOF, where key stakeholder groups are trained in translating climate forecasts and climate change information for critical decisions. Follow up with trainees will be undertaken to evaluate information use and constraints thereto;

3. Development of a revised Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Climate Change Handbook, for use in workshops and training;

4. Development of a climate change e-learning course, to be used within SADC and in conjunction with the Winter and Summer Schools, and with the SARCOF technical support.
