In this piece of work CSAG was contracted by the Western Cape Government to provide climate analysis for three Western Cape Municipalities.

Using existing station data in the three municipalities of interest, CSAG extracted observed and future projections information for relevant stations in each municipality. The observed information was used to describe the current climate characteristics of each region, including the current climate variability and climate variations across each region. The future projections were presented in easy-to-read maps and graphs with an associated written interpretation of the findings. Results for each region were presented in separate reports containing accompanying guidance on how to interpret the presented information into decision making, including caveats for their use and the limits to predictability implicit in the projections.
