Assessing Sustainability and Effectiveness of Climate Information Services (CIS) in Africa

As part of a multi-national consortium, CSAG contributed to an assessment of the capacity of African National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHS’s) to deliver climate information services.  In particular, CSAG undertook an assessment of the Department for Climate Change and Meteorological Services in Malawi.  Based on assessments of seven African NMHS’s, CSAG undertook a capacity gaps and needs assessment for each NMHS. This was followed by a recommendations document outlining potential interventions to ameliorate gaps at each NMHS.
