After a BSc in Maths and Applied Maths at UCT, Stefaan completed a BSc (Hons), MSc and PhD through CSAG, looking at climate variability, rainfall observation quality control, extreme weather and climate events, wildfire weather and initial condition uncertainty in climate model ensembles. For the next 2.5yrs,Stefaan will teach most of the physical climate science curriculum in EGS, working closely with CSAG in developing the courses.
