Willem Stefaan Conradie
PhD student
I completed a BSc in Maths and Applied Maths in 2011, before doing my BSc (Hons) in Atmospheric Science through CSAG. My Honours dissertation was titled "Heat Waves Along South Africa's West Coast. My MSc dissertation explored ideas in a very different direction, incorporating some ideas from nonlinear dynamics and chaos theory; it was entitled "Conceptualizing and quantifying the nonlinear, chaotic climate: Implications for climate model experimental design". I am now doing my PhD at CSAG project tilted "On winter rainfall variability".
