The irony was stark this morning as our side event to talk about the availability (or lack of) climate information for decision making took place in a tiny side lecture room seating about 30 people in a distant building many kilometers from the COP17 exhibition venue. Technology almost failed us to due to a lack of video cable and projector remote. Audience members arrive late because of the lack of information about the location, lack of transport and misunderstandings of information that was provided.
So into this context we spoke about lack of information, misunderstandings, difficulties finding information and the resultant struggle to make decisions in a complex decision making environment… perhaps our point was made before we even started talking.
